Kuzume Kōfū (Kuzume Yūzō) was born August 23, 1931. He studied Kinko-ryū shakuhachi under Sakamoto Seiryō and Satō Seibi. He started teaching in 1965 and belonged to the Bifū-kai and was the head of the Kochi branch.
